PRE-PAINTED COILS

Pre-painted steel coils are manufactured through a continuous coil coating process that comprises cleaning, pre-treating, painting, and curing.

Generally, the coils are painted with two-coat paint systems—first goes the primer, then a color coating is applied on the side meant for exterior exposure, whereas the reverse side receives a topcoat. Though cumbersome, the system results in the formation of uniform and aesthetically pleasing coils, and in turn, steel. Pre-painted steel coils are highly customizable. You can choose from several options like the metallic coating thickness, the types of top-coatings (acrylics, polyesters, silicone-polyesters, etc.), color, and treatments and primers.

Pre-painted coils applications involve metal roofing, heating, and air conditioning parts, school buses, appliances, consumer electronics, garage doors, truck trailers, lighting fixtures, etc.
